Together for Change, Now

Sidney Moore for Congress
Official Campaign Announcement
My name is Sidney Moore, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Congress in Illinois’ 2nd District.
In 2022, I ran as a candidate for Illinois Secretary of State because I believed the people deserved better — and that belief hasn’t changed. I’m a businessman, family man, and community partner, working with local organizations to solve real problems — not just talk about them.
Our communities are hurting across the 2nd District — and across America. — People are overwhelmed by rising food prices, skyrocketing healthcare costs, and the closure of neighborhood businesses. Seniors are being overlooked. Our youth are being left behind. Jobs are disappearing. And too many families are being told to “wait” for change that never comes.
I won’t wait.
What makes me different from Robin Kelly or anyone else running for this seat is simple:
👉 I’m an outsider — not a career politician.
👉 I’m not controlled by party politics or special interests.
👉 I’ll fight for what’s right — no matter who’s in the room.
I believe Congress needs more everyday people who understand what working families go through. People who’ve delivered newspapers in the morning and hauled produce in the afternoon. People who have built businesses, raised families, and served their communities — not just their party. That's me!
This campaign is about accountability, opportunity, and action. And it starts today. I’m asking you to join me.
Let’s bring bold, honest leadership back to the 2nd Congressional District — together.

Healthcare for All
Sidney Moore believes healthcare is a human right. Too many Americans work full-time and still cannot afford basic medical care. That is unacceptable.
In Congress, Sidney will push for policies that reduce costs, expand coverage, protect patients, and ensure real treatment options are available to every community—regardless of income or ZIP code. He will not stop fighting until families get the care they deserve.

Job Creation
Economic Opportunity & Jobs
Creating good-paying jobs and strengthening economic growth are essential to helping families thrive and building a stable future for our communities. Every community deserves fair investment and access to resources that support local businesses, workers, and entrepreneurs.
As your representative, Sidney Moore will advocate for funding and programs that create jobs, support small businesses, and expand economic opportunity across Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District. Real change happens when leadership puts people first—and Sidney is committed to delivering results.

General needs
Investing in Youth and Seniors/Veterans
Protecting Seniors, Veterans, and Our Youth
Seniors, veterans, and young people deserve systems that keep them safe, supported, and connected to opportunities. Sidney Moore believes strong communities invest in those who need support the most.
In Congress, Sidney will advocate for expanded job training and workforce programs that lead to good-paying careers, increased support for seniors and veterans, and greater access to youth programs that encourage participation, mentorship, and economic independence. He will also fight to lower the cost of living by addressing housing affordability, food access, and the rising cost of everyday goods.

Fundamental Issues
I support comprehensive immigration reform that balances law, security, and human dignity — including a clear pathway to citizenship for individuals who have been contributing, working, paying taxes, and raising families in our communities. No family should live in fear, and children should never be separated from their parents as a matter of policy.
I do not support mass deportations. Enforcement must be constitutional, accountable, and humane.
Regarding ICE, I believe the current structure and culture require serious reform and oversight. If an agency consistently violates civil rights or operates without proper accountability, Congress has a responsibility to intervene. That may include restructuring the agency, replacing leadership, or establishing a new enforcement framework rooted in constitutional protections and true justice. Any officer or official who violates civil rights should face investigation and, where appropriate, civil or criminal consequences under the law.
Housing & Anti-Displacement
Development should not mean displacement. I support expanding affordable housing tools and ensuring growth benefits current residents first and foremost.
Environment
Communities in our district have endured decades of environmental burden. I support stronger enforcement, remediation investment, and clean-energy job creation that prioritizes local residents.
Public Safety & Youth Violence Prevention
Prevention is stronger than reaction. I support investing in youth mentorship, paid job training, mental health services, and community-based violence prevention programs that connect young people to real career pathways within the 2nd District, including through Future World.
